Final Fantasy XVI for PC is officially in development (the intention was already known). The news was announced by Naoki Yoshida, the game’s producer, with a post on X (Twitter). The title is also preserved two paid DLCs, including one focused on Valisthea.
“We are aware that many of you have asked for a PC versionYoshida said.Let me take advantage of this opportunity officially announce that they are currently working on developing a PC version“.
“You passed just over two months since the game’s release and we’ve received a tremendous amount of feedback from players around the world“Yoshida added.”The development team and I have I’ve also been watching your streams and videos, paying particular attention to what you think of Final Fantasy XVI“.
“We’ve put our creative energy into this game, so it’s a real joy to see so many different reactions. And so we publish it as an expression of our sincere gratitude A free update is available for download today“.
The update consists of two main parts: a “Weapon skin“, which allows you to change the appearance of Clive’s weapon to that of another sword in your possession, while the second part offers the opportunity to do so Have Clive, Jill, Torgal, Ambrosia and Joshua wear alternative clothing. Players can switch between the standard and alternate outfits at any time.
The game, as Squire Enix president Takashi Kiryu recently explained, did not meet high sales expectations: The reasons also include the sales of the PS5 being below estimates – there is also an exclusivity (temporary, 6 months) for this console.
It’s unclear whether the PC version will release before or after the two paid DLCs, but it cannot be ruled out that it arrives later to offer a version of Final Fantasy XVI with everything.
