In the panorama of PCIe 5.0 SSDs makes his debut MSI Space M570HS, new iteration of the Spatium M570 announced last year. The new proposal has slightly lower sequential read and write numbers that favor the random, but the price is still lacking.
The drive looks almost identical to the previous model, with sequential read and write speeds limited to 10,000MB/s. However, what impacts performance in the most common scenarios are the random read and write speeds they each achieve 1.4 and 1.5 million IOPS. From this point of view, MSI offers a more comfortable product, especially for gamers.
The SSD is based on a controller Phison PS5026-E26 and memory 3D NAND TLC with an interface a 1600MB/s instead of 2400 MT/s as in the first version. The reason, as we have explained on other occasions, is the low production (and therefore availability) of these memories, which would be too expensive for the consumer sector.
In any case, high performance is also guaranteed in this case. For this reason the unit is accompanied by a Bronzed aluminum heatsink. Specifically, it’s a fairly generous finned heat spreader, but one that should keep temperatures in check while providing continuity and consistency in performance.
The MSI Spatium M570 is only offered in denominations from 1 or 2TB with limited warranty for 700 TBW (1 TB) / 1400 TBW (2 TB) or 5 years. At the moment, however, MSI has not yet announced the price or the availability date of the new storage device.
